Fortnite is a popular battle royale video game developed by Epic Games. Fortnite was an instant hit after its launch in 2017. In Fortnite, skins refer to cosmetic outfits and appearances that players can purchase or earn to customize the appearance of their in-game characters, also known as "skins." These skins do not provide any advantage in the game; they are purely for visual appeal. Epic Games regularly releases new skins and rotates older ones, offering players a wide variety of options to choose from, while staying on trend with the season. 

"Fortnite fashion" refers to creating stylish and aesthetically pleasing outfits using the various items available in the game. As mentioned earlier, Fortnite offers a wide range of skins, from sports wear, metallics prints, to suits and dresses, that players can use to customize their characters and express their unique style. Players often take pride in their Fortnite fashion by combining different garments to create creative outfits. Some players prefer to create themes or character concepts, while others simply mix and match their favorite items for a cool and unique look; this is what I tend to do. As the game regularly updates with new cosmetics, events, and collaborations, the possibilities for Fortnite fashion continue to expand, allowing players to be as imaginative as they like in expressing their style within the game. 

Social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter are popular places where players showcase their Fortnite fashion creations. Use the hashtag, #FortniteFashion or #FortniteOutfit to explore and get inspired by the different fashion ideas and combinations that players come up with.

Since the release of Fortnite on July 21, 2017, the game has had a huge audience and still does to this day, with about 400 million registered users as of 2023. According to an article written by The Nerd Stash, as of June 2023, the game has released a total of 1,624 skins. This many skins gives users so much variety to set up their personalized character, as users can mix and match with all the items in their Fortnite closet. Celebrities like Lebron James, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, J Balvin, Will Smith, and many more have made special appearances within Fortnite and some lucky users own their exclusive skins. These exclusive celebrity skins play a big part in Fortnite fashion, not only due to their exclusivity but also due to these skins being the most up to date on the latest trends. For instance, Ariana Grande's skin incorporates a mini tennis skirt, an item that gained popularity and was even spotted on some runway shows, on top of that the items are metallic, and as you probably know, metallic made a huge comeback this year.
