Nail Tech Insights and Nail Trends
Acrylic nails are a cosmetic enhancement that involves applying a mixture of liquid monomer and powder polymer to create an extension. These nails are very popular and trends are continuously changing. Personally, I enjoy getting acrylic nails if I am planning a trip, celebrating a birthday, or going on a holiday. These nails can come in so many shapes and sizes. After shaping, you can choose to add nail art, designs, or polish to enhance the aesthetic appeal. There are various options, such as nail polish, gel polish, or decorative elements like rhinestones or decals that can be applied. Acrylic nails are fun and can be used to express yourself. If you are in the market for Acrylics, look no further. We'll be going over the latest nail trends and get to know some local Bay Area Nail Techs.

While french tips are always trending and look fabulous on long or short nails, Jessica explains long nails leave more room for playful and fun designs, stating, “I personally love long nails. There is so much you can do with long nails, so much nail art, stickers, 3d charms and bling you can add to them. Don't get me wrong shorties are pretty too but if I were to choose I would for sure go with long nails always.” Jessica has done nails from bling to abstract, give her your idea and she’ll bring it to life!
French tip nails were first spotted in the 1930s, and the first style made popular was known as the “baby french tip”. Throughout the years the french tip has evolved from styles like, side tip, double lined, two tones, V-cut, and the most popular today the deep cut.

Lala is very passionate about her business and relationship with her clientele, stating “my favorite thing about being a nail tech is being able to make my own schedule. I also love the art aspect and being someone my clients could confide in. I appreciate how much my girls trust me and know I have their best interest at heart.” If you’re looking for a passionate nail tech, look no further, go check out @oohlalanailss on instagram.
Acrylic nails require regular maintenance to keep them looking their best. As your natural nails grow, a gap may form between the cuticle and the acrylic, requiring infills to be done every few weeks. During an infill, the nail technician will file and refill the area near the cuticle to maintain the acrylic's appearance and strength. At this time, you are able to pick a new design. It's essential to follow the nail technician's instructions for upkeep and be gentle with your nails to avoid damage or breakage.
Whether you’re planning a vacation, celebrating a holiday, or attending a special event, why not express your personality with extravagant nails.
